As per Ibn Ishaq, close to 20 Christians from Abyssinia traveled to Mecca to meet Sayyiduna Rasoolullah ﷺ when they heard that He ﷺ claimed prophet hood. Sayyiduna Rasoolullah ﷺ was in the sanctuary of the Kaba when the group arrived in Mecca.

While other leaders of the Quraish were conducting their meeting there, this group from Abyssinia asked several questions to Rasoolullah ﷺ while remaining seated in one of the portions of the haram. When all of their doubts were clarified, Rasoolullah ﷺ recited few verses from the Holy Quran. They listened to Him ﷺ and wept. Rasoolullah ﷺ invited them towards Islam and they accepted, recognizing the qualities of Rasoolullah ﷺ which were mentioned in their holy scriptures.

When they started returning, Abu Jahl met them on the way and stopped their caravan. He cursed them by calling them fools and alleging them for leaving their religion and betraying their people. The group was wise enough. They responded: "Peace be with you. We don't want to compete with you in ignorance. We will be steadfast on our decision, you be on your's. We've not opted for carelessness in betterment for ourselves (by accepting Islam)."

It is also narrated that the verses of Quran from Surah Al-Qasas (chapter 28), verses 52 to 55 were revealed in the same context. The translation of the verses are as below:

52. Those whom We gave the bookbefore this, they believe in this (Quran as well in the continuiation of the same guidance)

53. And when the Quran is recited to them, they say: 'We believe in it; verily, it is the truth from our Lord. Infact, we'd become Muslims even before this.'

54. It is these people who will be given their reward twice because they remained steadfast and fended off evil with good, and spent in Our way out of the bounty We bestowed upon them.

55. And when they hear anything absurd, they turn away from it and say: 'For us our deeds and for you are your deeds.Peace be upon you! We do not want to adopt the mentality and conduct of the ignorant.'

World is full of wonders and wonderful sources. One of them is internet and technology where one can either be productive, socialize or spend time doing nothing useful.

One among many social networking websites is Facebook, others being Google+, Twitter, Instagram etc. People have various and interesting reasons to be in here. Some upload self obsessed pics while others make it a trend to pose with their friends. Some show their religious devotion while others exceedingly admire themselves or any of their family members.

Few of us share videos on pranks, history, food, leisure etc. when others are busy in uploading something which people feel is something new. Few are generous enough to post/share a pic or a video appealing to pray for the poor, destitute and those in need, while others sense the pain of others and forwards the message of someone or something being lost, blindly.

Few share their old pics maybe to retrospect their appearance while others post repetitive posts. Part of us are focused towards benefiting others while others remain too busy in self-advertising something good they did to the society.

We reflect what we are and at times, we go against the reality and showcase ourselves as someone else. By different means, we wish to showcase ego, reality, hatred, love, wonder, admiration, innovation or just pass the time in vain.

Allama Ibn Kathir states in his commentary over the Quran that by revealing Surah Al Asr (chapter 103), Allah wishes to covey us a message not to waste time in doing things either through which we do not gain anything or loose. Allah grant the writer and the reader the ability to follow. Aameen.

Jazakum Allah Khair,
Group | Seerah of Rasoolullah صلي الله عليه و سلم

After Abu Talib passed away, Abu Lahab was made the chief of Hashimi clan. Although his duty was to take care of his clan as the chief, he gave negligible protection to Rasoolullah ﷺ. He was ill-treated by the Meccans as never before.

A couple of highly unpleasant incidents occurred with Rasoolullah ﷺ. On day, a passer-by leaned over his gate and tossed a piece of decayed animal body part into His cooking pot. In another instance, when He was praying in the courtyard of the sanctuary of Kaba, a man threw a sheep's or a camel's rotten tripe on Him while the decaying material still had blood and excrement. Rasoolullah ﷺ removed it by Himself.

In other instance, Sayyiduna Rasoolullah ﷺ was coming from the Kaba when a man took handful of dirt and threw it on His noble face and sacred head. When Rasoolullah ﷺ returned home one of his daughters cleaned it while weeping. When Rasoolullah ﷺ saw His daughter crying, He said to her not to cry and that Allah will protect her Father. (SubhanAllah)

Rasoolullah ﷺ then decided to visit Ta'if to spread the religion of peace by meeting their social and political leaders who were the guardians of the temple of goddess Laat.

Important note: This email lists couple of unpleasant incidents which took place in the noble life of our beloved Rasoolullah ﷺ, the ordeals which He ﷺ went through in order to spread the true teachings of Islam and the tireless efforts made by Him with an honorable intention to gift salvation to the entire humanity. When we present to you the pains which Rasoolullah ﷺ Himself, the best of the creations, went through, it is merely to reflect that anyone who wishes to do good to humanity can also face such ordeals, hurdles and challenges. The biography of Rasoolullah ﷺ teaches us to remain patient, steadfast and focused towards doing good despite all the pains and hurdles. A true lover of Rasoolullah ﷺ is bound to follow Him ﷺ. Far goes extremism, we can't even witness a shadow of equal reaction of bad towards Him, from Him, in His life incidents.
